Clinical research plays a vital role in advancing healthcare by identifying innovative treatments and improving patient outcomes. Mr. Amit Kumbhar delivered an insightful lecture on the significance, methodologies, and challenges in clinical research Importance of Clinical Research: Mr. Amit Kumbhar emphasized the crucial role of clinical research in developing new treatments, improving existing ones, and addressing unmet medical needs. He discussed various clinical trial phases (I-IV), study designs (randomized controlled trials, observational studies), and data analysis techniques. Mr. Kumbhar highlighted challenges facing clinical research, including patient recruitment, regulatory compliance, data management, and funding constraints. Mr. Kumbhar explored applications of clinical research in: Personalized medicine, Rare disease treatment, Gene therapy,Vaccine development. Prof. Vikramsinh Magar emphasized the pivotal role of youth in nation-building, stating that they are the building blocks of a country. He highlighted their unique qualities of Energetic and enthusiastic, Ability to learn and adapt and Willingness to learn and act. Prof. Vikramsinh Magar told that ypouth are equally responsible for a country's future and youth are social reforms and societal improvement rely on youth participation. He said active youth engagement is crucial for national development also youth can drive progress in various fields (technical, sports, etc.) Prof. Vikramsinh Magar reminded students that youth is the optimal period for chasing dreams with passion and energy. On 09/08/24, students at ADT’s School of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Baramati had the privilege of attending a comprehensive guest lecture on “Art and Science Education Program For The Conservation of Snake and Reduction of Human Snake Conflict” conducted by esteemed expert Prof. Mahesh Gaikwad delivered the insightful lecture. Prof. Mahesh Gaikwad emphasized the crucial role snakes play in maintaining ecosystem balance, serving as both predators and prey. He highlighted the importance of conserving snakes, which provide economic, therapeutic, and ecological benefits to humans. Snakes are a source of many medicines, including the only proven effective therapy for snakebites – snake anti-venom, derived from snake venoms. The lecture also focused on reducing human-snake conflict through awareness about venomous and non-venomous snakes, avoidance methods, and first-response protocols for snakebite victims. Prof. Mahesh Gaikwad explained strategies for managing and resolving conflicts, underscoring the significance of Nagpanchami festival. ADT School of Pharmacy and Research Centre celebrated Gurupornima on August 5, 2024, honoring the revered bond between teachers and students. Gurupornima falls on the full moon day of Ashadha (June/July) and commemorates Maharishi Veda Vyas, compiler of the Vedas, Mahabharata, and Poranas. D.Pharmacy and B.Pharmacy students were present for the programme. Third year B. pharmacy student’s felicitated teachers with flowers and gifts. Students emphasized the significance of Guru Pornima celebrating trust and respect between teachers and students, they expressing gratitude for selfless knowledge sharing, recognizing teachers' guidance in overcoming life's challenges. Students shared examples of iconic guru-shishya relationships, including Swami Vivekananda's transformative experience with his guru. They acknowledged the indispensable role of teachers in shaping their lives. Prof. Madhukar Shende Guidelines by the student’s. Agriculture Development Trust’s School of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Baramati had organized an event on workshop on “Research Ideology” as on 20th July 2024, the program started at 10:00 am with the Welcoming of Guests and participants. Mr. Abhishek Dhawan who explained the importance of the research development process especially for the researchers and the importance of research. He delivered an insightful lecture on research ideology aimed at promoting faculty and students for doing innovative research things. An ideology is a set of beliefs or philosophies attributed to a person or group of persons, especially those held for reasons that are not purely epistemic, in which "practical elements are as prominent as theoretical ones". Mr. Abhishek Dhawan highlighted the importance of research in the postgraduate curriculum and explained the various steps in involved in conducting of research. He discussed the various methods of research and types of research and explained the estimation techniques for different study designs and what the scope is of research he share his detailed knowledge about the good journals and innovative research work. Mr. Abhishek Dhawan (Founder and CEO, Feel softs) gave valuable guidance on research ideology. The faculty members and students are greatly benefited and are sensitized from his views and guidelines. He delivered an insightful guest lecture on stress management aimed at promoting a happier life for students. Stress is an inevitable part of life, especially for students juggling academic pressures, social obligations, and personal challenges. He offered practical strategies and psychological insights to help students navigate stress effectively. Prof. Jograna began by elucidating the nature of stress, emphasizing its physiological and psychological impacts. He explained the difference between eustress (positive stress) and distress (negative stress) and highlighted the importance of managing distress to maintain overall well-being. His guest lecture provided students with invaluable insights and practical tools for managing stress and fostering a happier, more fulfilling life. By promoting self-awareness, mindfulness, effective time management, adaptive coping strategies, and self-care practices, he empowered students to navigate the challenges of academic life with resilience and optimism. Students were encouraged to identify their individual stressors, ranging from academic deadlines to interpersonal conflicts. He emphasized self-awareness as the first step towards effective stress management. Overall, the lecture served as a reminder that while stress may be inevitable, it is how we respond to it that ultimately determines our well-being and happiness. With the guidance provided by Prof. Jograna, students are equipped to cultivate a mindset of self-care and resilience, laying the foundation for a healthier and happier life.
